CD Projekt Red has released Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.31, the first new patch since July. The September 2025 update brings bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to vehicles, quests, Photo Mode, and more.

Cyberpunk 2077 Still Strong in 2025

Nearly five years after its launch, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to attract thousands of players daily. Steam numbers remain high, boosted by Update 2.3 in July. That update introduced new traversal features, expanded Photo Mode options, and fresh side quests. Patch 2.31 builds on that momentum by addressing issues tied to those additions.

Cyberpunk 2077 AutoDrive Fixes

Vehicles now handle better thanks to AutoDrive improvements. Players can travel smoothly to destinations without stopping at traffic lights. Cars also overtake blocking vehicles and follow traffic rules in Free Roam. A bug that made Johnny Silverhand always appear in Delamain cabs has also been resolved.

Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode Updates

Photo Mode has been expanded further. Poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work across all genders. NPC placement is easier, with collision disabled for smoother positioning on vehicles or other objects. Royce’s poses also work properly after the fix.

Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Fixes

Several quest-related bugs have been addressed in Patch 2.31. The “Freedom,” “Motorbreath,” and “Nitro (Youth Energy)” side quests now run more reliably. Players can acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru even after failing “The Hunt.” Critical crashes tied to Nitro’s Yaiba showroom event have also been fixed.

Other Improvements in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.31

The patch includes multiple performance and localization fixes. Ray tracing and graphical stability have been improved across PC and Mac. The macOS version also receives key optimizations for smoother gameplay. On PC, NVIDIA Reflex and Path Tracing issues have been resolved.
