This Steam activity closely follows PureArts teasing “something with Edward,” the beloved protagonist of Black Flag, in a product stream. PureArts is a longtime Ubisoft collaborator known for producing official Assassin’s Creed merchandise and collectible figures.

Potential Release Window and Reveal Timing

According to journalist Tom Henderson, Ubisoft originally planned to release the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake in late 2025. Ubisoft delayed that timeline because Assassin’s Creed Shadows was postponed, although the delay lasted only a few months. If Ubisoft sticks to this pattern, the Black Flag remake may launch in early 2026 or appear at Gamescom 2025. Still, Ubisoft usually prefers revealing Assassin’s Creed titles during its own showcase rather than third-party events like Gamescom.
