Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Making Changes to Vault Edition Operator Skins
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has confirmed changes to three of the four Vault Edition operator skins. The upcoming shooter launches in several editions, giving players multiple ways to enjoy one of the most anticipated games of 2025.
The story of Black Ops 7 is set in 2035, where the world is torn apart by violence and psychological warfare. David Mason returns as the protagonist, leading his elite squad against a threat that could endanger global security. Players will also experience fast-paced multiplayer with futuristic weapons and equipment.
Visual Adjustments to Vault Edition Skins
Treyarch has revealed updates to the Vault Collection skins. Karma’s Tech Guardian has new plates and a redesigned holographic visor. Harper’s Warranty Breaker armour now features a refined and recolored look. Meanwhile, the T.E.D.D. Aether Assembly and Service Supreme skins have decomposed facial details, matching the character’s original design from Black Ops 2.
The Reaper EWR-3: Mind and Metal skin is the only cosmetic that remains unchanged.
Skins Available at Launch
According to the developers, these adjustments are based on community feedback to improve immersion. Vault Edition owners will still receive the outfits shown during the reveal, but with visual tweaks. These skins will not appear in the upcoming beta. Instead, they will be fully available when the game officially launches on November 14, 2025.
What’s Next for Black Ops 7
While fans wait for release day, Treyarch continues to reveal new content. Recently, three multiplayer maps were showcased, offering a first look at the game’s competitive modes. More details will arrive during the official Call of Duty event on September 30, which will highlight multiplayer updates and reveal the first look at Zombies.
