Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 Details Coming Soon With Special Livestream

Cyberpunk 2077 fans have good news this week. CD Projekt Red has confirmed it will host a special livestream focused entirely on Update 2.3. The stream happens on July 16, and will give players a closer look at the next big patch.

Update 2.3 Confirmed for Cyberpunk 2077

Back in June, CD Projekt Red surprised fans by announcing another major update for Cyberpunk 2077. Many thought the game’s December 2024 patch would be its last. Update 2.2 brought over 100 new customization options for V, a big photo mode overhaul, and much more.

Despite work now focusing on the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, CD Projekt Red is still improving the original game. This next update proves the studio wants to keep Night City alive for fans.

Special Livestream With CDPR and Virtuos

The Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 livestream will be hosted by associate game director Pawel Sasko and Virtuos lead designer Adrien Jouannet. Sasko was the lead quest designer for the original game and is now shaping its sequel.

Virtuos helped co-develop the last patch too. The new stream will show fans “what’s under the hood” for this long-awaited update.

Why Was the Update Delayed?

Originally, CD Projekt Red planned to launch Update 2.3 on June 26. Just days before, the team announced a delay. They said they needed more time to polish the patch to meet their standards.

No new release date was given then, but the July 16 stream should finally confirm when players can jump back in.

Big Week Ahead for Cyberpunk Fans

It’s a packed week for the studio. Not only will they show off Update 2.3, but Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on macOS on July 17. Mac players will get the Ultimate Edition, which includes every update plus the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see what surprises Update 2.3 has in store for Night City.
