Pokemon

Pokémon fans, it’s time to get excited! After years of speculation and wishful thinking, official LEGO Pokémon sets are finally becoming a reality. The Pokémon Company has confirmed that these highly anticipated sets will hit store shelves in 2026.

For decades, Pokémon has dominated the gaming and entertainment world, evolving into a massive franchise with video games, anime, trading cards, and collectibles. Now, after almost three decades, Pokémon is officially joining forces with LEGO—bringing fan-favorite creatures to life in brick form.

LEGO Pokémon Teaser Sparks Excitement

Pikachu

The big reveal came via a Twitter (X) post on Pokémon’s official account. The teaser video shows yellow and brown LEGO pieces assembling into Pikachu’s tail, followed by an electrifying lightning bolt and the logos of LEGO and Pokémon. The text in the video reads:

Get ready to electrify your imagination in 2026 “

This confirms that Pikachu will be part of the LEGO Pokémon lineup, but fans are already speculating about which other Pokémon will make the cut. Charizard, Blastoise, and Eevee are among the top picks, and some are even hoping for LEGO Pokémon promo cards as a bonus collectible.

A Perfect Time for LEGO Pokémon Sets

The Pokémon franchise has been growing stronger than ever, with over 480 million game copies sold as of March 2023. With Pokémon celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, this LEGO collaboration feels like the perfect way to mark the occasion.

Other LEGO gaming sets have been wildly successful, including:

  • LEGO Mario Kart (March 2025) – Nearly 2,000 pieces priced at $169.99
  • LEGO Nintendo Game Boy (Upcoming in 2025)

Given the success of these gaming crossovers, expectations are sky-high for Pokémon’s first official LEGO sets.
