The Sims 4 July 2025 Update: New Features, Bug Fixes, and Glass Walls

The Sims 4 July 2025 Update Brings Big Changes
The Sims 4 has launched a huge July 2025 update packed with new features, glass walls, bug fixes, and fresh inventory options. This update arrives just before the “Enchanted by Nature” expansion, which lets Sims become Fairies and live in Innisgreen.
Fresh Inventory Upgrades and Collection Tweaks
The Sims 4 update improves how players sort, filter, and find items in Sim inventories, including spoiled food stacks and rarity filters. The Notebook now features a redesigned layout, discovery badges, and easier navigation, especially for console players using controllers. Household collections also get a clean interface with new badges, progress circles, and filter options like rarity, name, and missing items.
New Glass Walls and Green Roof Features
Players can now use stylish glass walls in Build Mode, matching the popular glass roofs added earlier to The Sims 4. Build Mode also allows certain plants on roofs, offering creative ways to design modern greenhouses and add natural touches to any build. The Outdoor Plants section clearly shows which plants are roof placeable, making building smoother and more fun for everyone.
Massive List of Bug Fixes Across Game Modes
The Sims 4 July 2025 update fixes bugs like rain indoors, stretched children animations, and missing textures in various clothes and hairstyles. Console users get smoother navigation, better selection screens, and controller updates to match on-screen prompts across different menus. There are also dozens of fixes to expansion packs, like chickens not aging when animal aging is off, proper prom events, and fairer vampire gameplay.
Looking Ahead to Enchanted by Nature Expansion
While this update brings gameplay polish, players are most excited about “Enchanted by Nature,” launching July 10, 2025. The new expansion lets Sims live as Fairies, explore Innisgreen, craft potions at an Apothecary table, and decorate with lush houseplants. The Sims 4 continues to evolve after more than a decade, keeping fans engaged with regular updates and magical new content.
